How to Select the right cable length for your boat

To select the right length teleflex cable for your application you need to measure the distance the cable is routed from the engine to the steering wheel location.

Step1: Add up the following measurements:
A) From the centerline of the steering wheel out to the boats gunwale.
B) From this point on the gunwale directly aft to the transom.
C) From the gunwale at the transom to the centerline of the cable connection on the outboard. (with the outboard positioned to drive straight ahead)

Step 2: Add an additional 15cm if your engine has electric or manual tilt that has a standard tilt tube mounting connector.

Step 3: Round this number up to the nearest cable length.
